IMPACT OF GREEN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT ON ORGANIZATIONAL SUSTAINABILITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF KNOWLEDGE-ORIENTED LEADERSHIP

Purpose- This study examines the impact of green knowledge management on organizational sustainability in higher education institutions of Pakistan, with knowledge-oriented leadership as a mediating variable.
Design/Methods- The researchers conducted an internet based survey among these involved in faculty positions, administrative and support staff of higher education in a cross-sectional design. This survey was conducted using a convenience sampling technique and a total of 360 valid responses were returned. Data analysis was done using structural equation modeling.
Findings- The results above indicate that green knowledge management has a positive impact on organizational sustainability with an estimated value of 0.262. This research provides further understanding of implications and recommendations in the area being studied and can help fill knowledge gaps. To sum up, the t study stresses that technology and green knowledge management can help organizations attain sustainability. Outcomes may include competitive edge, organization effectiveness, enhanced, and stakeholder satisfaction increased.
Originality/value– This research takes up an effort to investigate the influence of green knowledge management on the organizational sustainability through mediating role of knowledge oriented leaders at the higher education institute of Pakistan. Using data from 360 respondents and structural equation modeling (SEM), this study contributes to the green knowledge management and organizational sustainability literature by providing empirical evidence from higher education institutions in a developing economy. In this study there is a positive correlation among these variables was observed, proving the conceptual framework for this study.
