Keywords:
Green Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainable DevelopmentAbstract
This study explores the relationship between corporate green governance and environmental practices in ten medium-sized manufacturing companies in Karachi, selected from the dyes and chemicals, textile, and food sectors. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires administered to managers from Production, QA, HRM, and Marketing departments. Findings reveal a strong correlation between green governance and electronic external communication (r=0.919r = 0.919), while other practices—such as internal email use, paperless documentation, and eco- friendly measures—show weak to very weak correlations (r=0.446r = 0.446 to r=0.627r = 0.627); water treatment and toxic emission recycling rank lowest (r=0.160r = 0.160, r=0.164r = 0.164). The study concludes that digital communication plays a more influential role in perceived green governance than other environmental practices.
