THE DIFFERENTIAL IMPACT OF TOXIC LEADERSHIP ON ORGANIZATIONAL CITIZENSHIP BEHAVIOR AND ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT

Purpose: This paper is aimed to test the proposed hypothesis with testing the mediation framework developed with the relationships of Toxic Leadership with Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Organizational Commitment with the mediating effect of Group Cohesion.
Design/Methodology/Approach: SEM analysis was performed to check the relationships through Smart PLS 3 and to test the mediation analysis model developed through the proposed hypothesis.
Findings: The statistical analysis has shown that there is appositive relationship among all the variables. Group Cohesion has a strong mediation effect on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior with the inflecting effect of Toxic Leadership.
Practical Implication: This study helps to identify how toxic leadership is positively playing its role in diminishing activity of Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior of employees in the manufacturing industry with the mediating effect of group cohesion.
Originality/Value: This study is unique in its aspect of studying the impact of Toxic Leadership with mediating impact of Group Cohesion on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior in the manufacturing industry of Pakistan.
